am planning on competing in only eight or so of the 15
races on the NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle schedule this year,”
said the Placentia, Calif., rider. “I would rather
go to fewer races and be better prepared than try to run
them all without a shot at doing well. |

“This
class has become so competitive over the past few years that you really
need to be at your peak just to qualify for the elimination rounds
so I am concentrating on running a ‘quality’ schedule
this year. Of course, should we be able to sign a primary sponsor
we could quickly gear up to run the full schedule and are still working
towards that goal."
Camarena will
again race his 2002 Suzuki TL 1000, this year with a new paint scheme
and sporting major associate sponsorship from Embee Performance as
well as assistance from Premier Mop & Broom, and LaundryParts.com.
The engine comes from Vance & Hines and he will again have Kevin
Fryar as his crew chief during his limited schedule. |
