Lewisville, N.C. (June, 2005) - When you grow up at the dragstrip, you are more likely to become involved in the sport. When your uncle is Todd Tutterow, there is no doubt that racing and winning run in your veins. Such is the case for Robert “The Hitman” Vogler, who at 9 years old has begun his
march towards racing success, capturing his first win on May 22, 2005.

Embee Performance, sponsor of Pro Modified owner/driver Charles
Carpenter, has signed on as an associate sponsor with the young driver.
“Robert called me after he won. After just a few events, he has already
notched a win, it really is exciting,” stated Deda Clark, spokesperson for
Embee Performance.

“We are always on the lookout for talented drivers. We know that his
uncle has been very successful and it stands to reason that Robert has been
learning some tricks of the trade these past few years. We are glad to be
onboard with an up-and-coming driver who shows both enthusiasm and
skill,” she added.

Vogler races in the Junior Dragster class at Farmington (N.C.) Motorsports
Park, his “hometown” track. He runs a 2001 Barr’s chassis with a 30 horsepower, alcohol-burning motor tuned by Dwayne Craver Racing Engines that weighs in at around 300 pounds.

Competing in just 7 total events so far, Vogler is on the track racing with
some drivers nearly twice his age in a field of 20 to 30 entries with his dad,
mom, and sister helping out, while Joey Hedrick helps tune for the
winning combination.

When asked who or what inspired Vogler to start racing, he was quick to
respond. “Uncle Todd, Charles Carpenter, Angie McBride, Rick Moore and
Tommy Johnson, Jr. were helpful and encouraging. I am good friends with
Charles and Rick (Pro Modified drivers) and they have always talked with
me about racing and encouraged me to ask my dad to let me start racing
and Angie (Pro Stock Bike) told me that I was perfect for racing.

“I would like to send out a special thanks to Grayson and Megan Lister
and Shug Shore. And I am very glad to have my great sponsors – Honda of
Winston-Salem, Dee Harris, Inc. and Carolina Drilling,” said Vogler.

Asked about his racing goals, Vogler is just as sure of himself. “I want
to win the championship here at Farmington this year. Eventually, my goal
is to race Pro Mod.”

The team expects to race near home for the 2005 season with plans to
start traveling in 2006. For more information on the young driver, please

When asked what advice he has given to his son, dad Robert, a crew
member for Tutterow, revealed that he can be a man of few words, “I told
him to go fast and win.” It would seem that “The Hitman” has taken that
advice as his own.
