Antifriction

Antifriction coatings bond strongly with all metal surfaces to provide long-term lubricity, lower the coefficient of friction and improve engine performance to reduce carbon output, Reduce metal-to-metal friction, engine noise, scuffing and wear. Provide reliable lubrication without degradation over time. Increases piston life and horsepower by evenly controlling part expansion, while reducing friction and part temperature.

Thermal Barrier
Thermal Barrier CoatingsĀ  is the process of applying a dry film lubricant to the piston skirt, which reduces friction and keeps engine temperatures down during high performance operation. Also known as printing, skirt coating or antifriction coating, the process extends the life of high performance engines due to reduced friction between the piston and the cylinder sleeve.
Thermal Dispersant
This piston coating is similar to hard anodizing and eliminates ring welding and ring groove wear, while producing tighter ring tolerances for greater horsepower. This process changes groove tolerances, so manufacturers must allow clearance.
Oil Shedding
This oil shedding coating reduces the reciprocating mass by repelling oil from internal moving parts. This coating can be applied to the underside of pistons, cranks, rods, cam shafts, and oil pans.
